Cabin fee varies by route: Domestic flights: 600 TRY (0-8 kg); Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus: 750 TRY (0-8 kg); International flights from/to Türkiye: 65 EUR; Beyond flights: 130 EUR. Pet must be kept in a carrier that fits under the seat in front. Soft-case carriers only. Up to 2 pets of the same species sharing the same cage allowed if combined weight and dimensions do not exceed limits. Passengers with in-cabin pets may only choose window seats (excluding emergency exit rows and rows with infant stroller apparatus). PETC reservations must be made at least 6 hours before flight. For flights to Bahrain, UAE, and UK, PETC is not accepted due to country rules. Brachycephalic cats (Birman, Exotic, Persian, Himalayan, Burmese, Scottish Fold, British Shorthair, etc.) and dogs (Affenpinscher, Pekinese, Pug, Shar Pei, Shih Tzu, Japanese Chin, Lhasa Apso, Tibetan Spaniel, Chow Chow, English Toy Spaniel, English Bulldog, French Bulldog, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Brussels Griffon, Bull Mastiff, etc.) may travel in cabin (PETC) if total weight with cage does not exceed 8 kg and dimensions do not exceed limits. Titration test required for all international flights except Baku. AVIH (cargo/hold) transport will not be available for bookings made on or after 1 September 2025. AVIH may be available for bookings made on or before 31 August 2025 depending on aircraft availability.

For bookings made on or before 31 August 2025, AVIH may be available depending on aircraft availability. Individual animals (dogs each max 14 kg, cats each max 10 kg) may share a crate if similar in size and familiar with each other; if over these weights, each must have their own crate. Cages must be provided by the owner.

Guide dogs (SVAN) travel free of charge. Maximum 2 guide dogs per flight; not counted in PETC quota. No weight limit. Reservation must be approved at least 48 hours before flight. SVAN must be clean, wear a vest and/or identifying harness, be seated at passenger's feet, and leash attached to passenger's belt. Dogs may not sit on passenger seats. Passengers must bring a muzzle. If SVAN is on the prohibited entry list for destination country, it will not be accepted. Passengers with SVAN may not sit in emergency exit rows or rows with infant stroller apparatus. On wide-body aircraft, SVAN passengers may sit in middle rows with emergency exits only if no baby passengers are present.

What types of animals are permitted in the cabin?
Cats, dogs, and small passerine birds (budgies and canaries) may be transported in the cabin on AJet flights. Other bird species are not accepted in the cabin.
What is the maximum weight allowed for a pet in the cabin?
The total weight of the pet and its cage/bag must not exceed 8 kg.
What are the carrier size requirements for in-cabin pet travel?
The carrier must not exceed 23 cm (height) x 30 cm (width) x 40 cm (length). It must be a soft-case cage or bag, be waterproof, have ventilation holes, have a minimum height of 2.5 cm on three sides, and fit under the seat in front.
Can pets travel in the cargo hold, and what are the requirements?
AVIH (hold/cargo) transport will not be available for bookings made on or after 1 September 2025. For bookings made on or before 31 August 2025, AVIH may be available for domestic and international flights depending on aircraft availability. Cages must be provided by the owner. Dogs each weighing up to 14 kg and cats each weighing up to 10 kg may share a crate if similar in size and familiar with each other; heavier animals require individual crates.
What are the fees for traveling with a pet?
Domestic flights (PETC, 0–8 kg): 600 TRY. Flights to/from Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (PETC, 0–8 kg): 750 TRY. International flights from/to Türkiye (PETC, 0–8 kg): 65 EUR. Beyond flights (PETC, 0–8 kg): 130 EUR. For stopover/layover journeys, the fare is calculated separately for each leg. Guide dogs (SVAN) travel free of charge.
Is there a limit on the number of pets per passenger or per flight?
A maximum of one pet cage is accepted per passenger. Up to 2 pets of the same species sharing the same cage may travel together if combined weight and size do not exceed limits. A maximum of 2 guide dogs (SVAN) are accepted per flight.
Are there any breed restrictions for pets traveling in the cabin or cargo?
The following dangerous dog breeds are not accepted: Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pitbull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Pitbull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, American Bully, American Bulldog, Bandog, Tosa Inu, Caucasian Ovcharka, Dogue De Bordeaux, Doberman (all breeds), Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Mastiff (except Bull Mastiff), Wolf Dog Hybrids, Anatolian Shepherd, Boerboel, and hybrids of these breeds. What documents and health certificates are required to travel with a pet?
Required documents include: a valid vaccination card (rabies vaccine given at least 30 days and no more than 1 year before the flight), a health certificate from a veterinarian (required for travel abroad from Türkiye), proof of microchip, entry/transit permits required by destination countries, a name/address label on the carrier, and a rabies antibody titration test for all international flights except Baku.
How do I book a flight for my pet, and can I do it online?
Reservations must be made and approved through the AJet call center, AJet website, or mobile application at the latest 6 hours before the flight. The PETC service can be added to your booking online. Guide dog (SVAN) reservations must be approved at least 48 hours before the flight.
Are there special requirements for international travel with a pet?
For international flights (except Baku), a rabies antibody titration test is required. Pets to Bahrain, UAE, and UK cannot travel in the cabin (PETC) due to country rules. Valid vaccination card, health certificate, microchip, and all destination country documents are required. Some countries do not allow pets to enter, exit, or transit.
What is the airline's policy on sedating pets during travel?
AJet bears no responsibility for any health issues your pet may experience during or after the flight. No specific sedation policy is stated, but pets must appear healthy at check-in.
