Only small dogs and cats permitted in cabin. Pet must fit under the seat in front and be able to stand, move and turn naturally without touching the walls of the carrier. No weight limit stated beyond size compliance. Flexible carrier max: 40x28x25 cm; Rigid kennel max: 36x33x19 cm. No wheels allowed; carrier must be of durable, leak-proof material with adequate ventilation. Pet must remain inside carrier at all times, must not be sedated, must be accompanied by owner. Available in Economy (up to 5 pets per flight) and Premium Economy (1 pet per flight) only; not available in Premium Business. Must be booked via Contact Center or WhatsApp, up to 4 hours before departure. Boarding pass only issued at airport. Service unavailable on flights to/from Galapagos, Aruba, Australia, Curacao, England, Mount Pleasant, New Zealand, South Africa. Dogs and cats may travel in the hold in a rigid, well-ventilated kennel. Maximum linear size (H+L+W) must not exceed 300 cm (118 in), height not exceeding 115 cm (45 in). Pet must stand on all four paws and turn naturally; at least 5 cm clearance from head to ceiling. Kennel must have 2 bowls secured to the gate. No toys, coats or blankets inside (exception for hairless breeds with vet certificate). Weight limits: Single-aisle aircraft (A319/A320/A321): up to 32 kg (pet+kennel) for flights up to 4 hrs; up to 23 kg for 4–5 hr flights; not available for flights over 5 hrs. Twin-aisle aircraft (B767/B777/B787): up to 45 kg; max 32 kg for flights to/from/connecting via Europe, Argentina or Venezuela. Up to 2 pets per passenger in the hold, each in its own kennel. Single-aisle flights: max 2 pets in hold per flight. Wide-body flights: no set limit (subject to availability). Service only on LATAM-operated flights; max one connection with layover under 7 hours. Must be booked via Contact Center or WhatsApp, up to 48 hours before departure. Service unavailable or restricted on flights to/from Galapagos, Aruba, Australia, Curacao, England, Mount Pleasant, New Zealand, South Africa. Restricted to Fernando de Noronha (guide/police dogs and qualifying residents only). Restricted on direct Santiago–Guayaquil flights. Suspended between US and Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia (CDC restrictions). Passengers travelling with pets in hold cannot board transfer bus to/from JFK. Dogs vaccinated outside the USA cannot be transported to Boston or Orlando. Service Animals (SVAN) are dogs individually trained to perform tasks for the benefit of their owner with a disability or health condition (e.g. guide dogs, medical alert dogs). Emotional Support Animals (ESAN) are accepted in countries where permitted. All conditions and required documentation must be met. Search dogs for disaster survivors with prior certification are exempt from fees on humanitarian missions.
Dogs and cats may travel in the cabin, hold, or via LATAM Cargo. Other species are only accepted via LATAM Cargo. Service Animals (SVAN) and, where permitted, Emotional Support Animals (ESAN) are also accepted.
